I’m having quite a reaction to all of the dramatic news in the world this week. I burst out crying when I opened the San Francisco Chronicle on Monday and saw the headlines and photos. I was surprised by my strong response. The rest of the day I was chanting “may we be filled with loving kindness” and bringing myself back from worry that more violence will follow.

Monday evening I was grateful to find that Brad Yates’ interview from the 2010 Tapping World Summit has a wonderful tapping session on clearing the conflict within ourselves when we feel upset about the conflict in the world. I found this comforting, encouraging and very practical.

Brad’s perspective reminds us that we are all connected and encourages us to calm our own upset and fear (with tapping) so that we can make a difference in our own hearts, our own communities and contribute to solutions globally.

May you find comfort in your daily practice of meditation and tapping and clarity about how you can be the difference you would like to see in the world.

A friend of mine had a wonderful result recently with tapping to relieve her migraine headache. She said she could feel one coming on and she thought the last thing she wanted to do was tap on her forehead because it hurt so much. I had recently done an EFT session with her and reminded her how effective EFT is with relieving headaches, so she was willing to try it. She was amazed and delighted that the headache was gone in five minutes! I was thrilled to hear about her powerful results.

I’m excited to be offering two new EFT classes:

Saturday, April 30, 10 – 11 a.m. at Synergy Medical Fitness in Napa – for all of you who have been asking about a class who aren’t able to make the mid-week classes. The class is free for Synergy members and is $12 for guests, and you can use the facility all day as a guest. The class will continue on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. on May 7, 21 and 28. This class will be focused on pain relief and remember – it works on everything!

Tuesdays, May 3 – 24, 6 – 7 p.m. Judy Cameron and I will be offering an EFT TELECLASS for $147 for those of you who aren’t in Napa. You can register by calling 707-253-8733. We will be focusing on clearing limiting beliefs and opening to greater and greater abundance in health, wealth and happiness.

Looking forward to connecting with you soon in Napa or on the phone to tap into your healing power for pain relief and greater abundance.

I love this time of year, when the days are warm and the nights are crisp and sparkling. It’s time to dig out the sweaters, plant bulbs and enjoy the changing of the leaves and the fruits of our labors. Did I sound like Martha Stewart there for a minute?

I recently cleaned out my closet and donated some clothing I’m no longer wearing. The rituals of clearing out and planting for the future helps to anchor my awareness in the present season, to make room for new experiences, rather than longing for summer to linger. Besides fall is a perfectly beautiful time to visit the Sonoma coast without the crowds and the fog that’s so prevalent in the summer. Being at the ocean is one of my favorite slowing down activities. I gave myself a full day this week to get out of the office, take a nap on the beach, meditate, journal and give thanks for all of the good things in my life. While the apparent chaos of the election and the economy are swirling through the cultural conversation, I choose to focus on what is good in my life, rest, relax, stay grounded and do what I can to nurture myself and my loved ones.

I encourage you to stay hydrated, slow down, breathe and get out in nature as much as possible to calm your nervous system and focus on the solutions for our collective challenges.

I’ve learned of two new wonderful EFT teachers in the Napa Valley and continue to find this simple self-healing technique to be of great value, both for physical and emotional healing.

Susan Maloney in St. Helena has two EFT classes coming up through the N.V. College Upvalley Campus. Thursday September 25th from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and Monday, October 6th from 6:30 – 9 p.m. Both for $60. You can register by calling 707-967-2901 or contact Susan directly at 707-888-0246. Private sessions are also available in person or by telephone. She will soon be offering classes in Napa as well.

Stephanie Rothman offers EFT sessions in Napa as well as hypnotherapy and can be reached at 707-320-2517.

More information about Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) can be found on the founder, Gary Craig’s, website: www.emofree.com.

May the warmth within you be nurtured and shared with those you love.

With love & blessings, Becca
