I’m having quite a reaction to all of the dramatic news in the world this week. I burst out crying when I opened the San Francisco Chronicle on Monday and saw the headlines and photos. I was surprised by my strong response. The rest of the day I was chanting “may we be filled with loving kindness” and bringing myself back from worry that more violence will follow.
Monday evening I was grateful to find that Brad Yates’ interview from the 2010 Tapping World Summit has a wonderful tapping session on clearing the conflict within ourselves when we feel upset about the conflict in the world. I found this comforting, encouraging and very practical.
Brad’s perspective reminds us that we are all connected and encourages us to calm our own upset and fear (with tapping) so that we can make a difference in our own hearts, our own communities and contribute to solutions globally.
May you find comfort in your daily practice of meditation and tapping and clarity about how you can be the difference you would like to see in the world.
